Assessing the real-world outcomes of patients with early stage unfavourable Hodgkin lymphoma treated with 2+2.

May 30, 2024

Outcomes of standard-of-care treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma are excellent1.

The HD17 trial demonstrated patients treated with a PET-adapted approach, using two cycles of escBEACOPP followed by two cycles of ABVD (2+2), could forego consolidation radiation therapy without impacting progression-free survival, provided the end-of-treatment PET scan (PET4) demonstrated complete metabolic remission (with Deauville score 1 or 2)2.  Omission of consolidation radiation likely results in lower rates of additional short- and long-term toxicity.

In the three years since publication of HD17 and the adoption of 2+2, there is yet to be published data assessing the real-world outcomes and treatment experience of these patients.

In this multicentre, retrospective, observational study, we hope to analyse standard efficacy outcomes and toxicity rates in this cohort.
