The role of surveillance imaging in patients undergoing a watch and wait approach in advanced stage follicular lymphoma.
Aim
-To examine practices in the use of surveillance imaging in patients with FL undergoing a WW approach in the modern era.
-To examine if the use of surveillance imaging reduces morbidity or alters treatment outcomes
7/2/23 – Ethics approval complete. Most sites have returned data. Awaiting on three sites. Difficult dataset
20/7/23 – Awaiting one final site to return data before analysis will begin. Might get to 300 patients. Having issues with multi-centre DTA actually being accepted
18/7/24 – all data returned. N=270 patients. Analysis underway. Aiming for ASH 2024.
17/2/25 – PET position to be finished soon. The French group had similar findings.
29/7/25 – Accepted at ASH and well received. PET data analysis completed n=100. Ongoing analysis re model development and then planned validation with French group mid year. The French group had similar findings. Aim for manuscript end of the year.
19/2/26 – developed a model to predict time to treatment that’s raised LDH one point and more than four nodal stations one point. Reached out to a French group of 180 and they validated the model in their hands.
1/6/26 – Received the French groups data. Manuscript complete, submitted to BJH
